Head of Yahoo! Labs Dr. Prabhakar Raghavan has highlighted in a press interview about some hard problems in social network analytics. In particular, Dr. Prabhakar pointed out about online social influence. Briefly his interview highlights on this topic as follows:
“Is it better to pay a celebrity $10,000 to tweet about your product, or find 10,000 non-celebrities to tout you? The nascent research suggests your money is better spent on the crowd – but the key is finding the people who are slightly more influential than most.”
